Mount Gambier

Volcanoes and Sinkholes

After leaving Adelaide later than I expected to we only managed to reach Mount Gambier.
It was a cold wet day as it will be for the next three days so we decided  to stay at the old Prison on Margaret Street..
Our Prison Cell for the night.

We were joined by another Backpacker in or room.. Woke me up due to heavy Snoring, I got up and gave him a shake. he woke up and stopped snoring.
The next day rained all day so left mount Gambier late after looking at the only 2 Dormant Volcanoes left in Australia. one is called blue lake of which you can drink the water straight from the Lake. and other valley lake. both are dormant for over 1000 years.
after we went to see the Sinkhole, this was a garden inside a sinkhole, amazing.
we  finally left Mount Gambier soon after 12.

Blue Lake. This is probably the best  water I've ever had
