Meeting My Travel mates or Not
Saturday the 9th at 3pm in Perth on Murrey Street outside underground station to meet my Travel Partner, he arrived 5 mins late. am Asian lad mid 20s nice lad, he also had another friend wanting to be in Broome a week later. but as we discussed further I found out we were getting mixed up on leaving dates, I an leaving on Monday 11th August but he wanted to leave on Monday 1 September, so we said our good byes hahaha.
As soon as I got back home in Marmion I went straight on to gumtree to look for some one else.
I found 2 German girls one wanting to get to Broome by the 19th do I agreed to meet up on Sunday 10th at 10.30am. They seemed nice so we agreed to meet at 10am at Warwick train station on Monday 11th August.
Perth-Jurien Bay.
The Pinnacles 11th August 2014
Woke up early as usual on this Day finished my packing and said my good byes to my Aunty and Uncle and off I went to Warwick station to pick up the 2 German Girls names are Babs (nice) and Jessy (NOT so Polite haha).
Our first stop was Whitfords Shopping Centre to gather some Food bits and items for them for camping.. time is getting on a bit now and mid day arrived when finally we hit the road for proper.
The Pinnacles were to be our first stop on our first day, the Pinnacles were a nice place to stop, it is $12 to enter with car and you can either go on the walking tour round or take your car around the driving tour which I decided we would do.
The time was really getting on now as we left the Pinnacles so we headed to Jurien Bay for our first night. at this point the Jessy was really getting on my nerves (I won't go into details haha).
we settled in for the night and camped unfortunately next to 2 Germans. I was kept up mostly all night by this loud German language. Good Night all.
Jurien Bay-Kilbarry National Park Arrival 12th August 2014
Good Morning to you all reading this. this road trip I knew is going to get worse and worse. I woke up normal time and they got out off bed at 9am. about 10am we got away to head to Kilbarry it was a slow process stopping for photos and pee times, I felt It was going to be a long Journey for a short one.
we arrived at a beautiful river side setting on the edge of the national Park, (Pity) from now on no more grass to camp on.
Kilbarry National park - Denham and monkey Mia 13th August 2014
Had an early morning start for once, got to see the national park.
My car didn't like the run up the sand road to the national park car parks, it was $12 for day visit.
we spent a good 4 hours here purely due to Jessy taking a very long time taking photos and wanting her own way, I don't think Time comes into any thought at all. haha.
the Kilbarry national park is a one off visit and a must to see.

The Natural Window, I can sit here all day long.

We soon left after having a really nice time here, our next point of call was Denham near Monkey Mia, here we camped on the Beach for my first time ever haha.
Monkey Mia - Coral Bay 14th August 2014
It was a really nice start to the day when I woke up Natural haha with the sunlight rising from the east though the tent. we packed up and headed to Monkey Mia to see the Dolphins and yes we did see them. Unfortunately I wasn't picked to feed them.
We left after a couple of hours here then back to Denham for Breakfast. we finally hit the road again and I let Jessy drive for hour and halve oh what a mistake haha, first stop was for pee time then I took over the driving to Carnarvon where I wanted to stop and camp for the night but this wasn't the case, according to Jessy we headed to Coral bay where we almost didn't get a space in campsite. luckily for us a final cancelation so we squeezed in. it was a late one. I knew we should of camped in Carnarvon.
here I am now writing this up to date in Coral bay. if you look on the globe we are on tropic of Capricorn almost.
Once we get to Broome i have agreed with Jessy that she should find another friend and not come with me as we not getting on.
Its my trip, my rules, not in her case its not.
see you soon for and update.
Also in Coral Bay I met a young lad called AJ, I only know him by his initials funny thing I also met his very nice family. AJ is only around 7 years old and we hit it off like we were already brothers, I made him really happy because I was traveling upwards and not down, it was funny because we both said "I have seen you before in England". from then on we all became facebook friends and Ann AJ's mum promised I would travel back though the Kimberlys with her and friend if I got to Darwin..
Coral Bay - Exmouth 15th August 2014
After waking up this morning I decided to Make Breakfast and head to the kitchen to carry on writing my blog up. It was funny as the previous night I told AJ I would meet him again very soon. it was only this morning I met him again and his mum Ann. For breakfast I had fried egg on toast and a cup of tea and Cereal to keep me going till Dinner.
it was time to start packing up and heading a short distance to Exmouth and the delightful Tranqoise Bay. where I had a couple hours baking in the sun and the girls went out snorkling. I managed to get out too with my goggles on to see the nice corral fish.

We had Quick walk on Coral Bay before setting up to Exmouth. it was very windy as you see my hair not very tidy.

First proper day sun baking lovely jubbly.

On Tanquoise Bay, Exmouth, WA.
After having time on this delightful Beach we decided to stay here near Exmouth. while they went of watching the sunset once again I stayed and put up the tent and sorted out food.
Exmouth - Tom Price 16th August 2014
I told the Girls the night before it would be an early start to the day as we have a long journey to make to the Karijini National park. It was reasonably early. We managed to arrived into Tom Price with Plenty of day light left so we had dinner early and an early night as we knew it was going to be a long day in the national park. on the way we were given a splendid Arrival with beautiful Countryside to stop and take pictures.
Tom Price - Karijini National Park 17th August 2014
It was the earliest start we had, forget breakfast have that when we get to our next spot which was only up the road by an Hour. Dales Camping Ground . we arrived with 20mins before the office opened at 8am. we booked in set up camp and then headed off into the national park where we were given a delightful walk along this magical Gorge.
most of the Pools here are ok to swim in in fact you can swim in all off them.

From here I knew I was in for the most beautiful short walk I had ever been on ever.

the devine beauty of this gorge was most Delightful as we made our way down the gorge further and further.

The Tinkling of water sets the scene for most of the way.

The green colour in the water comes from the Algy.

It just gets better as we walked further down.

This was the furthest point you can get on the walk unless you did some rock climbing. while walking on this 3 km walk I met people that already been here and had a swim in it. brave peeps they were, I had a try. I was the most freezing pool of water I've ever stepped into. I got to waist height only. soon after a drink and relaxation I made tracks back to the car which didn't take long at all.
as I got to the car first I decided to have a bite to eat, basic and boring but needed it.
we all headed of to somewhere closer to camp. this was going to set the previous walk in second place. Fern Pool awaits the not so confident swimmer.
before we arrived at Fern Pool we arrived at the Fortescue Falls for a while then slowly to the big Surprise of the day Fern Pool.

A lizard of Karijini.

Fern Pool must be treated with care when you enter by the ladder. swim accros to the falling water.

I managed to go beyond my fear of how deep the water was beneath me and enter the pool and swim to the falling water where I had a very nice warm shower.

Fern Pool is a delight to look at and swim in.

Fortescue Falls.
Soon after our adventure to the Fern Pool we headed back to our tent and relaxed. made dinner, washed up and Bed.
Karijini National Park - Eighty Mile Beach 18th August 2014

I was working along with Jono and his Daughter today we were Offering the new tract.
After Field Service I joined Jono back at his place for a coffee or tea. for the rest of the day I was back at the tent until the Meeting in the Evening, This evening I was Weighing up on Having a ride on the Camels along the Cable Beach or go out on Kayaks for a few Hours, I choose to take up the Kayaking the next morning.
Broome 21st
Today was the day when I went to join other people never met before out Kayaking. I was picked up by the Leaders and the other People I was to join with. I soon arrive to the beach where we were to head out onto the Ocean. I was partnered up with Steven who was a nice young guy with long hair and well Mannered, he said as I've been Kayaking before I would sit in the front.
It was a nice morning out on the ocean and managed to see only one sea Turtle bobbing his head up and Down.

Once we arrived at this very small beach we dived into some nibbles and soft drinks.

we also went into the nice warm see for a swim.

enjoying a drink before heading back onto the Sea.
After paddling back to the Beach where we had set off from to start with a agreed with Steven that we would join up in the afternoon and head to the beach for a sun baking session so that what we did, after that we headed of into town to have a nice drink at one of the best bars in town.
Broome 22nd
Awake again this morning to another fine sunny day, a day on the Beach and a day for looking for Travel Partner from Broome to Darwin. but no luck apart from a chap called Stan the Jesus Man, He was 51 years old, fat, very hairy, he wore this big cross with Jesus impaled on it and he had a hat on with I love Jesus written on it. I kindly declined on his offer.
so from today I decided to stay in Broom for another 3 nights to sell my car then fly home. The rest of the day I was to spend on the Beach.
The Green Frogs
the Green Frogs of Western Australia are most common in wet area like bathrooms and showers, they come out at dark, you cant see them until you switch the light on and you see loads of them.
Here at the caravan park I went to the Disabled loos as the others were so far away, the Green frogs lived in the cistern of the toilet it self. When you lift the top of the cistern off you see a family of 10 or so of these green frogs., they say if you touch or pick them up you will leave your scent on them then your in danger s they will follow you, your now his daddy.

This one was very interested in the Phone. and Me.

At home on the rails as I take a shower.
Broome 23rd
Another fine hot sunny day in Broome. This morning I was going to the Internet café to charge my laptop up and create posters for my car to sell. before I had a chance to start on the poster, I had a call from a chap looking at my car, so I went to see him and had a test drive and chat, we agreed he would buy the car for the price I was asking, great. so he would meet me at the airport on Monday so buy this from me then I would organise a late last minute flight home.
I then went to Maccas for a muffin and a coffee, here I bumped into AJ and family who I met In Coral Bay a week ago. I then went off around Broome Centre to explore.

Broome 24th
What a lovely morning once again in Broome, I feel I'm getting used to this heat here. This morning I arrived at the meeting 10 mins late. not to worry. After the meeting I bumped into a German family at the hall who I met at the Eighty mile beach, we both were surprised to see each other there.
the rest of the day I spent down on cable beach.

The Camels walking down onto Cable Beach.
Cable Beach.

Walking along cable beach, camels

It was a few hours down on the beach when I decided to pack up and head back to my tent, and have an early dinner as I was going to the worlds oldest outdoor cinema to watch One Hundred Foot Journey. the Cinema dated back to 99 years ago. what it opened in 1915. this is the best cinema I've been to so far.

Inside

Walking into the cinema the night of the movie

Inside, the screen, I sat on the front row so I no heads in the way. while watching the movie a plain came over top as taking off.

Broome 25th -27th
Monday the 25th was the day I was flying home and selling my car. I rang this guy and we organised to meet the airport at mid day, so I packed all my things, my tent and cloths everything. off I went to the Airport, it was only 45mins before the plain I hoping to get the guy rang up and said "sorry my wife has taken the money". so this meant staying in Broome. I went back to where I was before and set camp up again. this time was looking someone to join me to Perth Direct, no takers as Wednesday arrived.
After not selling my car what else can go wrong, on Tuesday the 26th I accidently locked my car keys in the boot of my car and there was no way to get them, many people came to my rescue even Steven who I met on the Kayaks. we tried everything from using and cloths hanger to push the boot button but it wouldn't open. the only way would be to contact a locksmith. done.
the Rest of the day was spent down on the Beach and organising my drive back to Perth.

Nearly Ready Guys just the last few items.
I finely arrived home on Friday the 29th after 3 fall days driving. I got home to Perth with an almighty Pain in my stomach. all due to sleeping in the car all cramped up.
