My New Home

The Caravan

Moving Home.

Funny thing was Brad said I could use his Caravan to live in. I took the offer, the only thing I had to do was to find a suitable Caravan park to stay in.
I found one 12 KM out of Port Lincoln. much better than 25KM and its cleaner and tidier. and I have a bed now after a month and halve of sleeping in tents or on floors. and had to have a tow bar but no one had one. as Brad and his wife is one of Jehovah witnesses and I am regularly attending meeting.
one of the brothers there at the hall offered to help transport the Caravan.
it was only on 29th November I moved from the Farm House into this caravan.

Arriving To Port Lincoln.

3 weeks ago on Monday.

Driving to Port Lincoln.

It was an early start for me on this Monday morning the 18th November.  I had to leave early as I had a long drive of a good 7 hours 9 hours with stops.
My plan was to find working in a bar or hotel for a month until I started with Brad Sutton and his team.
as I was leaving Adelaide I had a phone call from himself Brad. he was just asking when I was heading round to Port Lincoln, I relied "funny thing is I'm actually just driving out of Adelaide now to come round to Port Lincoln." he asked me to ring him a soon as I arrive.
on my way to Port Lincoln I had a few snapshots with my phone. of the Countryside. picture the pink water, its colour comes from the salt.
The pink is caused by the Salt in the water.

The road to Port Lincoln from Port Augusta. south Australia.

My First point of call was my Accommodation which was to be 25KM before you get to Port Lincoln on the Lincoln Hwy.
I was renting an unfurnished room in a Farmhouse for $80 a week.
while I was driving down from Port Augusta I had a image in my head of what my Housemate was going to look like, he's a fisherman, 24 years old.   my first though was young and slim and fit, or the other image was Older looking than me, and very Fat. I decided I stick with the older and fatter looking 24 year old. his name was Jason.
on my arrival He was older looking than me and very Fat. the house looked nice from outside but as I entered my thoughts were am not here for long.  I had to give the place a clean over from top to toe.
The Farm House.

I suddenly remembered to ring Brad Sutton up, He wanted to know when I can start work for him.
I said asap if you need me. we brad invited me round for tea on the following day which would be a Tuesday to discuss when I start and what ill be doing.
well the conclusion was that I started work on the Tuesday day after I arrived, to start work at 8.15 in morning cleaning Windows at the Tasman Hotel..

A Week in Adelaide

Around Adelaide

After Leaving The Ocean Road I stayed in Portland and as of from traveling to Adelaide I drove  up though the Coonawarra Estate, and popped into the Wynn's Cellar Door, and also during the last week I have visited the Banrock Station Tasting room in the Riverland's, and the Wolf Blass Cellar Door.
This week I have dedicated myself to looking for work, I have applied to so many positions but no luck, I applied for a Roadhouse position on the Nullarbor but they said after ringing them up they found someone else with more experience so fare enough.. During this week we had a Koala in The Campsite at Brown Hill Creek,
Had a visit to Jacobs Creeks Tasting Room and Cellar Door also to the Barossa Chateaux where I handed my cv in.
Tomorrow being Monday I am leaving for Port Lincoln where I have work in January for a month or 2 cleaning floors and windows cant wait, also found cheaper Accommodation there over halve the price of a campsite.
The Koala here at Brown Hill Creek Tourist Park.

Big4 Wye River Tourist Park .

Melbourne Cup Weekend.

Lorne for 4 days.

It was 2 weeks ago on Monday I was saying good bye to Tsai as Melbourne Airport. it was a sad good bye knowing I'm now on my own.
This was the same day I returned to Lorne on the great ocean road to stay at the great ocean road backpackers for 4 nights, here was determined to find work. after four days I was invited to for an interview at the Big4 Wye River Tourist park (last Friday week ago) where I handed my cv in previously.
The interview went very well and it was a high chance I would get a position there. I would be doing all manner of things from reception, Cleaning, grounds and Mowing.
It was that Friday evening I was offered a position there I would be there for many months according to the Manager, (great news I though). I started last Saturday morning at 8.30am.
Its was only three days of work into my employment there I was wondering why I hadn't signed a contract, they replied casuals don't sign contracts because they can just leave or be asked to leave,
I new this was a bit funny and something was going on but I kept my mouth shut.
The only thing I was doing all the time was going round cleaning loos all day long as the campsite was busy due to the Melbourne cup.
It was last Tuesday just starting my 4th day of employment there the Manager asked me into the office, Guess what she said, I new what was coming. "Daniel we don't need you anymore". I felt saddened and upset had a tear in my eye knowing they just used me for the weekend.
This was Tuesday last week, I left as quickly as possible and went to Portland then onto Adelaide and I've been staying at Brown hill creek tourist park ever since.
Still looking for work.
Good bye to Tsai, will miss you.

Over the next 4 night will be camping in the Yarra Valley at Badger Creek Big4 Caravan and camping site. here we were put onto pitch 83 under the trees..

Day 2 in Melbourne

woke up to a wet morning so as the next few days will bring. today we decided to chill and relax. we only visited the local town, a Wine vineyard Resort, of which had a Hotel so I Dropped in a copy of my Resume into them. we also went of to the http://www.yarravalleychocolaterie.com.au/
and then back to Badge Creek Campsite.
The Chocolate Factory.

Day 3

Consisted of waking up early and getting into to city to look around, Melbourne is a culture City. I find it worse to drive around than Adelaide. and more expensive to park in. (WA Rocks)
during the day we visited the Botanic Gardens, had a ride on the trams, walked around the city.
